Vertical21 Training

The theoretical approach behind 21st Vision’s Vertical21 training makes a clear departure from most existing education in any sphere. Our systems framework creates brand new questions and solutions. Positive growth and a focus on strengths lead the way, while mapping a route for individuals and organizations to grow up in their “response ability”.

“The systems work of Murray Bowen and Edwin Friedman demonstrates that lasting change derives not from an emphasis on the circumstances or traumas of a person’s life, but through a focus on the capacity of an individual to respond. Individuals (and organizations) reach a crisis point wherein the severity of life issues is a constant, and the only control/power one has in their possession is their response capacity…”Systems thinking creates different strategies for inducing change. It treats the system (family, neighborhood school) as a whole, and tries to correct problems not by eliminating or fixing the “bad part”, but by inserting new input designed to cancel out what has gone wrong.” (Friedman, Generation to Generation, pg. 17-18)
The systems approach resists the common compulsion to fix or try to change behavior by insight. Instead, this way of thinking pushes individuals and organizations to grow up in their ability to choose well, to practice a desired future now regardless of how difficult life is. Vertical21 demonstrates the reality that a new, mature response to toxic circumstances or relationships makes an enormous difference. Individuals and organizations discover the freeing impact of taking back control over their own choices and responses.

The result reveals a much less anxious school or business, and team members who are far along in their ability to handle life’s difficulties with agility and nobility. Your culture will mature, and your chronic issues will lose their power.

One cannot overemphasize how differentiated the Vertical21 approach is from existing change programs which are behaviorally based, repeating the same old cycle of solutions which do not work.
